When I’m trying to get my man back, a short cooling-off period does a lot of good. I don’t want to wait too long though. I Plan My First Contact With Him
Once I have decided that he is worth getting back and I want to be with him, I have to plan how I am going to see him again. I don’t want to beg him and seem desperate, as this could be a huge turn off. I also don’t want to come across as being pathetic. Inviting him to get together and go out with a group of friends is a good strategy. Then there aren't those awkward moments like there might be if we were alone. We’re just out to have some fun with friends! Then I can casually start talking to him in an environment that's comfortable for both of us. Another option is to find something we really enjoyed doing together, that will still give us a chance to converse.
I Remain Open and Flexible
If I want to get my man back, I have to try to get him to open up to me. One tactic I use is to ask him if he’d be willing to tell me what he thought went wrong in our relationship. I just simply tell him that I want to learn from my mistakes so I can improve on myself. This isn’t always easy to ask a man, so a lot of times I will ask in an e-mail. I can get a lot more information from him through e-mail. I think it's because it allows him to collect his thoughts and be more open and honest with me.
I can often set up a place and time to talk one-on-one. Once I do get the chance to meet and talk with him, I let him do all the talking while I listen. This isn’t easy to do because it’s easy to become insulted or to have my feelings hurt. Sometimes I have to bite my lip and tell myself that this doesn’t mean I should give in to all his demands. I just need to hear him out before I can jump in with my own opinions. After all, he had his “good” reasons for leaving so I need to find out what those reasons were, even if I think his reasons suck.
These are the main steps I follow to get my man back. It can be devastating when a guy brakes up with me, but now I know I can probably win him back if I want to. I used to take a completely different approach when trying to get my man back until I actually found a useful game plan on the internet. I had used tips I read on the Internet in the past and wondered why they didn't work. Then I realized that I actually needed a game plan, rather than a bunch of random tips.
When I have a real good plan of action in place, it becomes much easier to get my man back.
